CRAPS
Description and Objective:
Craps is a game of chance that many of our players enjoy as it allows many different types of bets and has an excellent return percentage. Using two dice, craps is based on how often a total of seven comes up and how the other numbers compare. Some feel overwhelmed by the game initially as it has so many possible wagers.
Each die has 6 numbers, so a pair has a total of 36 possible combinations. 7 is the most likely number to be rolled, with 6 possible ways it can be formed as per the below chart.
Dice - Total Combinations - Number of Combinations:
2 - 1+1 - 1
3 - 2+1, 1+2 - 2
4 - 3+1, 2+2, 1+3 - 3
5 - 4+1, 3+2, 2+3, 1+4 - 4
6 - 5+1, 4+2, 3+3, 2+4, 1+5 - 5
7 - 6+1, 5+2, 4+3, 3+4, 2+5, 1+6 - 6
8 - 6+2, 5+3, 4+4, 3+5, 2+6 - 5
9 - 6+3, 5+4, 4+5, 3+6 - 4
10 - 6+4, 5+5, 4+6 - 3
11 - 6+5, 5+6 - 2
12 - 6+6 - 1
Total = 36
Craps terminology is some of the most easily recognized in and outside a casino. The Shooter is the player and Snake Eyes is a pair of 1s. To start, learn a couple of the different wagers and bet accordingly. Stick to the pass bet first up. The Pass bet is placed on the pass line before the come out roll.
There are 3 possible outcomes on the first roll, being;
A natural - the dice totals 7 or 11
A point - the dice totals 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 or
Craps - 2, 3 or 12.
If you roll a natural, you win and the round is done.
If you roll craps you lose.
Any other number (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10) becomes the point.
You win the pass line bet if the point is rolled before a 7.
You lose the pass line bet, if a 7 is rolled before the point.
A winning pass line bet pays even money (1 to 1).
